Day 01: Arrive Cochin
On arrival to the Cochin airport you will be met by the Indian Horizons representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Cochin.

Day 02 : In Cochin
Morning after breakfast explore with Indian Horizons guide the fascinating Portuguese Town visiting the Fort Cochin, Jewish Synagogue, Spice markets. Overnight at Cochin.

Day 03 : Cochin - Kumarakom
Morning drive to Kumarakom the gateway to the backwaters of Kerala and check into to the backwaters resorts where you would spend you day at leisure. Evening visit the Bird Sanctuary. Overnight at Kumarakom

Day 04 : In Kumarakom
Day free to relax at the backwater resort. Overnight at Kumarakom

Day 05 : Kumarakom - Periyar
Morning after breakfast drive to Periyar. On arrival check-into the hotel. Afternoon with Indian Horizons guide enjoy spice plantation tour followed by a boat ride on Lake Periyar to view the wild animals that can be spotted drinking and bathing from this 100 year-old lake. Overnight at Periyar..

Day 06 : Periyar - Cochin
Morning boat ride at Periyar Lake to explore the chances to view wildlife. Later transfer to the Cochin airport for your flight to onward journey.

Things to do in Kerala:

1. Ride a canoe:
Drift along serene waterways in a country craft, enjoy the breeze, answer a cuckoo's call. Wave back at the cheerful village children on the banks. Invite some of them to top in for a ride.

2. Wear jasmine in your hair: Get yourself a string of jasmine - the natural ornament for your hair. You could even pluck them fresh from a garden and string them yourself.
