Destination : Calicut - Mahe - Wyannad - Cheruthuruthy - Cochin

Day 01: Arrive Calicut
On arrival to the Calicut airport you will be met by the Indian Horizons representative and transfer to the beach resort which has got its name engraved in Indian history after the Portuguese explorer, Vasco Da Gama put his first steps on Indian soil at this place. Overnight at Calicut

Day 02 : In Calicut
Morning after breakfast visit Beypore famous for the Asia's biggest wood market and traditional wooden ship making industry. The craftsmen have been making these Marakalam's in Beypore since the 18th Century. Overnight at Calicut

Day 03 : Calicut - Mahe
Morning after breakfast drive to Mahe located on the shores of Arabian Sea famous to be the traditional and cultural city of Kerala. On arrival check-into a private cottage that is being maintained by the Indian Horizons. Afternoon visit the fort and mosque. Overnight at Mahe

Day 04 : In Mahe
Morning after breakfast with our Indian Horizons guide visit the Kerala Traditional Dance center to witness 'Thayum' and 'Kalari Pati'. Overnight at Mahe

Day 05 : Mahe - Wyannad
Morning after breakfast drive to Wyannad famous for the lush green rainforests. Indian Horizons would arrange your stay at a eco-friendly resort that would provide you the ample opportunities for bird watching, trekking and elephant ride at the nearby Muthanga Sanctuary. Overnight at Wyannad

Day 06 : In Wayannad
Indian Horizons would arrange a visit to the nearby tribal village and tribal museum. After lunch take a 4 km trek to an awe-inspiring ancient cave, providing an insight to the rich Indian civilization. Overnight at Wayannad

Day 07 : Wayannad - Cheruthuruthy
Morning after breakfast drive to Cheruthuruthy famous for the school of traditional art and dance - Natya Kala Mandalam. On arrival check-into the hotel. Afternoon with the Indian Horizons guide visit the Natya Kala Mandalam, local potters and weavers that are world famous for their dexterity. Overnight at Cheruthuruthy

Day 08 : Cheruthuruthy - Cochin
Morning after breakfast drive to Cochin and check-into the hotel. Afternoon explore with Indian Horizons guide the fascinating Portuguese Town visiting the Fort Cochin, Jewish Synagogue, Spice markets. Overnight at Cochin. Indian Horizons would organize for you Kathakali Dance. The interesting part would be seeing the dress up of the performers before the dance. The way they colour themselves with natural products collected from the nature. Our guide would brief you of this traditional dance and about the performers.

Day 09 : Cochin - Flight Back Home
Morning after breakfast in time transfer to the Cochin airport escorted by the Indian Horizons representative for your flight back home.

Things to do in Kerala:

1. Ride a canoe:
Drift along serene waterways in a country craft, enjoy the breeze, answer a cuckoo's call. Wave back at the cheerful village children on the banks. Invite some of them to top in for a ride.

2. Wear jasmine in your hair: Get yourself a string of jasmine - the natural ornament for your hair. You could even pluck them fresh from a garden and string them yourself.

3. Visit the local markets:
Small stalls with fresh vegetables, fruits, fish, chicken. High-pitched salesmen luring you with impossible bargains. Visit these bustling markets, or chandas.

4. Stay in a tree house:

Spend romantic nights in tree houses, washed in the sweet scent of forest flowers. Let the sounds of the forest fill your dreams.

5. Have a mud bath:
Go in for mud therapy and discover its healing properties at the Kavil Bhavan Yoga and Cultural Centre at Nileswaram.
